Enjoyed the movie, Moonrise Kingdom and homemade roasted tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Other than the candy solicitations made by miniature pirates and princesses, it was a good night.

Happy Halloween

Hemingway was not pleased.

World Champs

I waited 37 years for the first one, but just two more years for the second. An incredible run for the Giants. It was a treat to be able to see every home game along the way. Thank you Dad, Sonia, Devin and Waldow for sharing the moments along the way.

Unfortunately we had to stay right. Soccer in Bakersfield.

This is my friend, Jason Waldow’s costume. Get it? he’s Jason and Where’s Waldo. Brilliant.

Celebrated the Giants win with dinner at Son of a Gun.

A new Eggs Benedict discovery.

Now & Then

Twelve years ago. Today

Game One

Three home runs from The Panda, Zito and Lince pitched lights out and Scutaro continues to play like he’s All World. Today was a good day.

On top of the Mark. Getting ready for game one of the World Series.

#16 In Progress

A shame he died this year.

#65 Finished

A record 6-0 in elimination games. Hell of a series.

A rainbow in San Fran. I couldn’t think of a better sign.

Hoping for the rain to pass by game time for an epic game 7.

Scenes from Game 6

Best food in baseball Waldow.

Argo

Very good. And if you don’t think so, allow me to quote dialog from the movie… “Argo fuck yourself.”

Scenes from the Fashion Show

We enjoyed another Basically Me milestone last night when our line was featured in Fashion Minga, a LA Fashion Week Fashion Show. After a couple glasses of champagne, Sonia managed to get through the press line and present what I humbly believe was the best line of the night. Here are a few more pics and video clips taken with my iPhone. Hopefully we’ll…

Now, if she only had somewhere to go.

I’m not jinxed. Giants win 7-1.

Waiting for a BP home run in the bay.

Calm before the storm. 3 plus hours early.

Can I get a Win?

3 games, 3 loses.

Final fitting before the big show next Thursday.

Celebrated the Giants win by taking Sonia to see two of my current favorite bands, Imagine Dragons and Awolnation. Great show, but I did feel a bit old.

Didn’t See That Coming

Giants win three road games in a row to oust the Reds. If I ever get another dog I will name him Buster Posey.

#20 in Progress

Or not. A chain of stores wants to carry Basically Me, however they want a deal. A deal that we will most likely reject. It looks like Basically Me will be better off dealing with the little fish in the sea rather than the whales for the foreseeable future.

Last shows of the year. Atlanta starts tomorrow, Dallas in a couple of weeks. After that, we need to get creative and make sure we can cover the overhead until the new year.

I hope this video is a hit, because the Giants couldn’t buy one.

#81 Done.

The other San Francisco Giants. Spent the morning walking through the Muir Redwoods a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. “The redwoods, once seen, leave a mark or create a vision that stays with you always. No one has ever successfully painted or photographed a redwood tree. The feeling they produce is not transferable. From them comes silence and awe. It’s not…

Game One

Didn’t go as planned, but the Reds used a lot of pitchers to win this one.

3 hours before game time. A little late, but we’ll make do.

From Our Hotel Room

It’s Fleet Week in San Francisco. The Blue Angels continue to roar past our windows and over AT&T park. Can’t wait to see them fly over the stadium tonight. Go Giants!

Happy Birthday, Anna!

Happy 8th Birthday to my oldest niece!

#74 Failed

Today is the last day of the MLB season which means I failed to make it to Wrigley and see one of the Cubs 100 loses.

The new floor and chandelier have been installed finally making the kitchen complete.

The Lumineers is Brit’s discovery and now one of my favorite bands. Tonight we enjoyed their LA concert (their first sell out) at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood. I saw Pearl Jam at Marquette before they were “Pearl Jam”. This may have been Brit’s Pearl Jam.

This is getting out of control.

Spent the evening at David Murdock’s ridiculous estate for the Children’s Hospital charity event that has consumed Georgeanne’s life for the last few months. Seemed like a great success to me. Jason Alexander was the host. I clearly need the iPhone 5.

Did I mention our warehouse doesn’t have central air conditioning?

Behind the scenes

We spent the day shooting press for our upcoming fashion show during LA Fashion Week. Sonia survived her first television interview.

Our bamboo kitchen floor just isn’t cutting it, so out it goes. Now we need to replace it.

Sonia and I will soon be empty nesters in our early forties. It would be a shame if we didn’t take advantage of our lot in life and branch out a bit. Making the top five neighborhoods we’d like to live in five years is the lower East side of Manhattan. Take this picture I took in Greenwich Village. What’s not to like? A…

We’re back. Just in time to watch Brit help her team to their league leading fifth win.

Rob Reiner is sitting in front of us. Everyone first associates “When Harry Meets Sally” with him, but it’s Spinal Tap, Stand By Me and The Princess Bride for me.

Enjoyed a picnic in Central Park.

This is a glimpse of the scene outside of the Apple flagship store today as the iPhone 5 goes on sale. I am merely a spectator and will wait until my contract is up in May.

The Burger Joint

Although #28 is complete, my quest to find the perfect burger remains. Our hotel is home to one of the better ones. To get to the The Burger Joint, you must pass beneath a curtain and walk down a dark corridor before finally entering this quirky eatery.
