New Ferris wheel is coming along. Last I see of the outside for awhile. 106 degrees.

It took well over thirty years to overcome the childhood culinary wounds inflicted on me by my loving mother. Sorry mom, but the way you prepared brussels sprouts was downright cruel. Boiled whole to stinking imperfection. Even the smallest of bites drowned in milk couldn’t prevent the gaging. You were not a particularly strict mother, but for some godforsaken reason you chose to put…

Drove the PCH to Mailbu. A perfect day for a long drive in the Bronco.

Certainly not a classic, but surprisingly entertaining.

Long overdue haircut.

Riverside—UC Riverside’s Women’s Soccer Team reports for preseason training this week, and the Highlanders welcome 15 newcomers to the squad for 2013—12 freshman and three transfers. “I am extremely excited for the group of players that will be joining our program this fall,” Gonzalez said. “As I have begun to put my footprint on the program, the staff has methodically carved out a vision…

Montreal. Osheaga 2013.

Montreal is a great city with horrible weather, although we enjoyed some great days. It was nice getting in touch with my French Canadian and Canadian roots. My grandfather’s mother and father both hailed from Canada, eh.

Mumford & Sons.

Lumineers. Awesome.

Love a city with efficient public transportation.

Did I mention it’s Fashion Week here in Montreal. So, yeah a little work. We recently picked up a Canadian client for the buying side of the company, so we wanted to check out the market. Despite the weather, Montreal is quite fashion forward.

Saw this band, Imagine Dragons, last year in a small LA theater. They’ve grown a bit more popular since then.

Had to try Montreal’s signature dish, Poutine. French Fries, gravy and cheese curds, Amazing.

Times like this remind me why I am thankful there are no casinos in LA.

A Walk Around Old Montreal

Just an iPhone today. The camera will come out before we leave. A great little city.

In Search of Smoked Meat

Found the place with the longest line since 1928. Schwartz.

Montreal.

On a red eye, eh.

Getting ready for back to back to back shows in August.

Enjoyed watching the US win the Copa Oro at a proper English Pub with Devin and Sonia.

Happy Birthday, Bro

This is when we created the superhero duo, Underwear Men.

So, I did this to my body last night.

#85 Not Happening

The US soccer team is shaping up to be America’s best team ever, but I’m officially crossing off #85 as a possibility. Not only will it be winter in July 2014 in Brazil, it appears that they are completely unprepared to host the world. Maybe Qutar in 2018.

I know this is mean, Brittany, but you only get your wisdom teeth pulled once.

Pulled off the spare tire trifecta this weekend by eating at a couple of dogs from Jene’s and Jude’s, a burrito from Taco Burrito Palace and a burger from Bills. Oh, and a rib eye steak three out of the four nights.

Actually enjoyed a round of golf.

A Marquette reunion broke out while celebrating Matt’s birthday.

Dinner at Piccolo Sogno Due and drinks at The Roof at the Wit.

Well that was a huge mistake.

Can’t go to Chitown without a couple of dawgs from Gene’s and Jude’s.

Sonia, Brit and I joined a good college buddy and his family at Joe’s Seafood, Stone Crab and Prime Steak to help him celebrate his 40th. Sonia and Brittany ate and ran to see Beyonce perform from her cousin’s luxury box at the United Center. I was luckily not invited.

Love this city, but 95 degrees and deathly humid.

You can still get a decent meal on a domestic flight. Virgin Airlines.

Happy 18th to My Little Girl

My daughter is now an “adult”. Bittersweet.

Dropped Brit off at UCR for orientation. Less than a month to go. The other girl is Brit’s future teammate and roommate.

Enjoyed a showing of Bill Murray’s “Stripes” at the LA Historic State Park on the outskirts of downtown.
