The Agony of Defeat
Brit’s team took the game into overtime, but eventually lost in sudden death portion of penalty kicks. The club season is officially over. It’s High School soccer for the next few months.

I think the agonies of defeat make the ectasies of victory more sweet – Brit is going to be just fine; losses hurt particularly so for superior players and, I suspect, act as a source of motivation for them. Safe travels home.
