No action shots today. Too stressful. But, Brit’s team won the morning game 2-1 and then the quarter finals, 2-0. A few college coaches were there to see her, so hopefully they were pleased with what they saw. If they weren’t, they’re idiots.

San Diego: Day one of Brit’s biggest tournament of the year is in the books and her team didn’t disappoint. They beat a premier team from Colorado 3-0 in the morning, then followed it up with a 1-0 win against their arch rivals. Brit score all 4 goals on the day.

Brit played an incredible game and lead her team to a 2-1 over the U18 Norwegian Academy team. With a roster of junior Olympians and U18 World Cup players, the ridiculously tall Norwegians didn’t know what hit ’em.

After the game, the two teams broke bread and confirmed teenage girls are pretty much the same no matter where they come from.

A rainy day means little projects around the house will get done.

My niece Kennedy volunteered to be a fit model so that we could continue to tweak our styles for Basically Wee.

Once again, the Youmans boys joined their dad and played a round of golf to benefit the future multi millionaire baseball players of the world.

It came down to the tenth penalty kick in sudden death to determine who moved on to the Elite 8 of League Cup. Unfortunately, Brit’s team lost as is often the case when they don’t win it in regulation. On a positive note, the coach from D-1 UC Riverside called Brit after the game and showed some recruiting interest.

We made a third of what we spent at the “show” in San Diego, but we ate well.

Brittany scored a lazer from 35 feet out to lead her team to a 2-1 win in the final league game of her career with the Sherman Oaks Extreme. There are a few tournaments and cup games between now and May, but the Club is quickly coming to an end.

Our first big flash sale and the biggest market is offline and without power.

The entrance to the back yard was getting a little claustrophobic, so out with the hibiscus and part of the banana tree.

Once the landings are removed, we’ll replace all of the dirt/grass with stamped concrete. Results in about a week.

Enjoyed the movie, Moonrise Kingdom and homemade roasted tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Other than the candy solicitations made by miniature pirates and princesses, it was a good night.

Hemingway was not pleased.

I waited 37 years for the first one, but just two more years for the second. An incredible run for the Giants. It was a treat to be able to see every home game along the way. Thank you Dad, Sonia, Devin and Waldow for sharing the moments along the way.

Three home runs from The Panda, Zito and Lince pitched lights out and Scutaro continues to play like he’s All World. Today was a good day.

We enjoyed another Basically Me milestone last night when our line was featured in Fashion Minga, a LA Fashion Week Fashion Show. After a couple glasses of champagne, Sonia managed to get through the press line and present what I humbly believe was the best line of the night.
