Cassia in Santa Monica. Finally tried the fifth and final restaurant of the late critic, Jonathon Gold’s last top 100.

Huge moment for Alex as the Cardinals called him up to the big leagues for the final game of spring training. Minor league assignments are still a week or two away, but he’s hoping to start off strong.

The author of the Handmaiden Tale taught a great class. Two statements I took to heart. 1. Most writers are published later in life (yay). 2. Most published writers won’t make a living with their writing. I already knew that, so we’re good.

An incredibly well written, but also an incredibly dense, dark and depressing novel. Happy to be done with it.

Visited the JFK museum at the Dallas book depository overlooking​ Daley Plaza.

Joined the LA chapter of the late Paul Allen’s h Club. Hope to utilize the gym more than the bar.
