Stitches are out, but the news was not good. The surgeon was able to remove the tumor with large margins, but the final pathology report revealed that the mast cells had penetrated the deep margins into the muscle, so there is a flip of the coin chance that it will recur within a year.  And if doesn’t recur in the same spot, he’s likely…

Lost Spirits

Hard to describe in pictures since flash photography isn’t allowed, but Lost Spirits is a rum distillery that basically built Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride in a downtown warehouse that revolves around their distillery tour.

Celebrating my former writing partner’s 45th at the New York import, Employees Only.

Hemingway is back home. I will spare you the sight of tumor removal as it is pretty large and gruesome, but hopefully he will heal quickly.  He’s ready to put two time cancer survivor on his resume.

Rio celebrates Hemingway’s test results. Everything appears normal. Surgery is set for Wednesday.

After six months of living with us in Burbank, Sonia’s dad and wife returned to Puerto Rico today.  Their timing hasn’t been great this year.

#87: Hemingway’s One Year Scan The good news is we made it a year. The bad news is that Hemingway developed another tumor.  He’s vowed to keep fighting.

Morning sort of sucked for us. Checking another mass. Hopefully It’s benign. Will know in a day or two. And then… Haven’t put the plates on the newish car yet. Hopefully the day will get better.

Sean finally committed to some back love. Hopefully it’s the beginning of some real healing for him.
