I waited 37 years for the first one, but just two more years for the second. An incredible run for the Giants. It was a treat to be able to see every home game along the way. Thank you Dad, Sonia, Devin and Waldow for sharing the moments along the way.
We enjoyed another Basically Me milestone last night when our line was featured in Fashion Minga, a LA Fashion Week Fashion Show. After a couple glasses of champagne, Sonia managed to get through the press line and present what I humbly believe was the best line of the night. Here are a few more pics and video clips taken with my iPhone. Hopefully we’ll have some professionally shot photographs soon.
A couple of clients from Louisiana flew in for the show.
Celebrated the Giants win by taking Sonia to see two of my current favorite bands, Imagine Dragons and Awolnation. Great show, but I did feel a bit old.
Or not. A chain of stores wants to carry Basically Me, however they want a deal. A deal that we will most likely reject. It looks like Basically Me will be better off dealing with the little fish in the sea rather than the whales for the foreseeable future.
Last shows of the year. Atlanta starts tomorrow, Dallas in a couple of weeks. After that, we need to get creative and make sure we can cover the overhead until the new year.
The other San Francisco Giants. Spent the morning walking through the Muir Redwoods a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
“The redwoods, once seen, leave a mark or create a vision that stays with you always. No one has ever successfully painted or photographed a redwood tree. The feeling they produce is not transferable. From them comes silence and awe. It’s not only their unbelievable stature, nor the color which seems to shift and vary under your eyes, no, they are not like any trees we know, they are ambassadors from another time.” – John Steinbeck
It’s Fleet Week in San Francisco. The Blue Angels continue to roar past our windows and over AT&T park. Can’t wait to see them fly over the stadium tonight. Go Giants!
The Lumineers is Brit’s discovery and now one of my favorite bands. Tonight we enjoyed their LA concert (their first sell out) at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood. I saw Pearl Jam at Marquette before they were “Pearl Jam”. This may have been Brit’s Pearl Jam.
