Spent the evening at David Murdock’s ridiculous estate for the Children’s Hospital charity event that has consumed Georgeanne’s life for the last few months. Seemed like a great success to me.

Jason Alexander was the host. I clearly need the iPhone 5.

Did I mention our warehouse doesn’t have central air conditioning?

Our bamboo kitchen floor just isn’t cutting it, so out it goes.

Now we need to replace it.

Sonia and I will soon be empty nesters in our early forties. It would be a shame if we didn’t take advantage of our lot in life and branch out a bit. Making the top five neighborhoods we’d like to live in five years is the lower East side of Manhattan. Take this picture I took in Greenwich Village. What’s not to like? A pizza joint. A beer delivery guy. A chili parlor. A bicycle. A girl reading a book. And a historic tavern that serves a fine burger.

We’re back. Just in time to watch Brit help her team to their league leading fifth win.

Rob Reiner is sitting in front of us. Everyone first associates “When Harry Meets Sally” with him, but it’s Spinal Tap, Stand By Me and The Princess Bride for me.

Enjoyed a picnic in Central Park.

This is a glimpse of the scene outside of the Apple flagship store today as the iPhone 5 goes on sale. I am merely a spectator and will wait until my contract is up in May.

Although #28 is complete, my quest to find the perfect burger remains. Our hotel is home to one of the better ones. To get to the The Burger Joint, you must pass beneath a curtain and walk down a dark corridor before finally entering this quirky eatery.

Sonia let me find my shawarma in Greenwich Village…

So, I had to join her at Saks Fifth Avenue, home of the largest shoe floor in the country. No joke, the floor has its own zip code. Although there are a million places I’d rather be, it’s sort of cool to visit a Saks Fifth Avenue that’s actually on Fifth Avenue.

Thanks to last night’s monsoon, the Yankees played a makeup game this afternoon and lucky for me, my buddy Matt was willing to play hooky for a few hours. It was a perfect fall day at the new Yankee Stadium. Thanks buddy.

The Minetta Tavern serves a fine burger. Top 25? Maybe. Top five I’ve ever had? No. But, I definitely enjoyed National Cheeseburger Day. Seriously, it was National Cheeseburger day. Look it up.

On Bleeker Street. Killing time before dinner, we enjoyed our time at an Irish dive bar populated by Asian Americans with deep New York accents. Lots of cool behavior that would have closed down an LA bar in an instant.

Walking down Bleeker Street, there were more than a handful of joints I would have fought to eat at, but today is National Cheeseburger Day… Look it up.

The calm after the storm. The Javits Center was 105 humid degrees during set up, perfect for a cool headed couple like Sonia and myself.

Sonia and I took in the Book of Mormon with my Dad, Georgeanne, Sean, Kim, George and Rosie. Very funny.

The Youmans boys minus Sean, so here he is on the phone.

Sonia and I finally have our own private office with a gritty LA view.

For the fourth year in a row, LA Fashion Insider, Inc. has grown. In the last eight months we have added one employee, moved into a 4300 square foot space and have increased revenues by about 75%. Unfortunately operational costs are rising even faster, so I’m not very optimistic about our P/E results.

A documentary that follows the chef of an eight seat sushi restaurant tucked away in a Tokyo subway station that is considered to be the best in world. I need to try before he retires.

Both fantasy football teams performed well, Brittany scored four goals to help her team to 5-0 win and the pool was a perfect 82 degrees. Sunday, Funday.

Brit’s team lost a heartbreaker in the final seconds of their morning game, but bounced back and won the second game. Brit scored all three goals.

Brit’s team won the first game of the tournament 3-1. The championship game is on Monday at 4:30, so the pool and BBQ’d hotdogs may be in jeopardy.

My niece and nephew had the time of their lives at the Angels-Red Sox game. After wiping the pine tar off his hands on Albert Puljos’ pants, Kaden was invited into the dugout and given Puljos’ signed batting gloves. I would’ve had an aneurysm if that happened to me when I was a kid.
