Congrats to Matt and Beth for the arrival of their boy, Robert James. When he’s old enough to learn how to throw a baseball like a man, I’ll be happy to step in for you.

The temp on my dashboard is off a couple of degrees. I think it’s actually hotter.

Despite playing one of the weaker teams, the heat made the game a dog fight. Thankfully, Brit’s team came out ahead 2-1.

Despite it being over 100 degrees, Brit’s team fought through dehydration and headaches to force a 1-1 tie in order to remain in first place.

After a few months in the sardine factory, we had no choice but to spring for a bigger boat.

At only my fourth MLB game for the year. But I think I’ve seen four of the best NL pitchers in the league. Tonight it’s Jimenez for the Rockies.

Four clients in a week, four expensive dinners. I think we may have lost money.

August Recap
It has recently become clear that #1 makes everything else difficult to get to. Other than a sunset and a bottle of wine, the list took a back seat to textiles. There are certainly worse problems to have, but I’m sure going to miss having an Old Style at Wrigley.
What’s Done…
#12. Caught the sun setting over the horizon on Pismo Beach.
#25. Enjoyed a Pinot from a local winery in Arroyo Grande, Ca.
#57. Pismo Beach
What’s In Progress…
#6. Pfft
#14 Read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Reading The Girl Who Played With Fire.
#20. Four down, one to go.
#36. Research is expensive.
#59. Decided to nix the summer suit. I’m on the look out for a wedding suit.
That’s it.

Brit’s team lost 3-2 in the finals. Refs were ridiculously bad, but the girls weren’t as sharp as the previous three games. Brit had a great tourney with four goals and three assists. Our tournament season is now finished as league starts up next weekend.

Brit’s team went 2-0-1 to win their pool and make the finals. They’ll play an undefeated team this afternoon.

Our first game was a rematch against the best team we’ve ever played (they knocked us out of the State Cup in the semis). This time around Brit’s team won 2-0. Brit scored both, the second was probably one of her best goals of all time.
